David Rosenberg | Managing Director & Senior Portfolio Manager

David Rosenberg is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager for HGI’s REIT & real estate securities funds. He is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the investment strategy while overseeing the investment team, trading operation, and research process. Prior to joining HGI in 2013, Mr. Rosenberg was a Senior Vice President and Associate Portfolio Manager with CBRE Clarion Securities and a Director, Portfolio Manager and a founding member of its predecessor, CB Richard Ellis Global Real Estate Securities from 2004-2013. At CBRE, Mr. Rosenberg focused on the research and analysis of public real estate and infrastructure companies in the U.S. and Canada as well as portfolio management. His past experience includes serving as a Real Estate Securities Analyst in the equity research department of Legg Mason and as a Senior Accountant in the real estate practice of American Express Tax & Business Services, where he functioned in various roles involving real estate financial analysis, valuation, and capital markets activity from 2000-2004. Mr. Rosenberg holds an MBA in Finance from Johns Hopkins University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). He is also active in several non-profit organizations.
