HARBOR GROUP INTERNATIONAL SELLS SHOPPING CENTER IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA
An affiliate of Harbor Group International, LLC (HGI), based in Norfolk, Virginia, has sold the 121,446 square foot Harmony Place Shopping Center in Columbus, Georgia, for $7,050,000 to The Dallas Chipley Group, LLC.
Lucy Jones of Woodruff Real Estate served as broker for the transaction.
The property was purchased in 1998 as part of a large portfolio from Woodmen of the World Insurance Company. The portfolio included three industrial properties and four retail shopping centers. The rest of the portfolio has been sold by HGI over the last five years.
“Our focus has shifted away from retail properties over the last few years,” said Richard Litton, President of Harbor Group International. “Today, our core assets are CBD office towers and apartment communities. We are also actively investing in real estate markets outside of the United States.”
Harbor Group International, LLC holds an investment portfolio in excess of $2 billion, including over 6.5 million square feet of office space throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and more than 12,000 apartment units in the U.S. The Company maintains offices in Norfolk, New York, Chicago, London, and Tel Aviv.
