HARBOR GROUP INTERNATIONAL’S DOMINION TOWER RECEIVES AN OFFICE BUILDING OF THE YEAR AWARD
Dominion Tower, downtown Norfolk, Virginia’s landmark 26-story office building, owned by an affiliate of Harbor Group International (HGI), earned “The Office Building of the Year (TOBY)” award from BOMA Virginia, an organization of building owners and managers. HGI purchased the property in October 2004.
Dominion Tower won in the range of 250,000 to 499,999 rentable square feet.
“The TOBY award goes to the most efficient, tenant friendly, community-oriented property,” said Mary Drake, Property Manager of Dominion Tower. “I am proud of the commitment of our staff and the loyalty of our tenants.”
Dominion Tower is a 26-story, 403,276 square foot office tower located on Waterside Drive in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. The property’s unique exterior features 110,000 square feet of polished granite and a large, distinctive Wyland Whale mural on the side wall of its parking garage.
The property earned the award by meeting high standards of energy efficiency, tenant satisfaction, community service, excellent employee relations, and good management. The property will represent Hampton Roads in the regional competition for building of the year honors.
