NORFOLK HIGH RISE GAINS NEW NAME
AND IMPROVEMENTS TO KEY AMENITIES
The
16-story Crestar Bank Building on Main Street in downtown
Norfolk has a new name.
The 224,000 square foot structure is now called the SunTrust
Center. Workmen began installing new exterior signage this
past weekend.
SunTrust Bank acquired Crestar in 1998, but did not begin
changing the name of its new acquisition until this month.
Since purchasing the Crestar Bank Building in March 1998,
its owner, Harbor Group International, which is headquartered
across the street in the First Virginia Bank Tower, has
made extensive enhancements to the lobby and is currently
modernizing the elevator system.
S.L. Nusbaum Realty Company leases the SunTrust Center
for Harbor Group International. “There are numerous
office suite opportunities within the building, including
two entire floors,” says Nusbaum’s Senior Vice
President, Mark B. Warlick. “This is truly premier
office space, centrally located in the heart of a vibrant
downtown area.”
With more than $96 billion in assets, SunTrust Bank operates
more than a thousand full-service branches in six southern
and mid-Atlantic states and the District of Columbia. SunTrust
is number 234 on the Fortune 500, and it ranks 12th on
Fortune’s list of commercial banks.
For information on leasing in the SunTrust Center, interested
persons can contact Mark B. Warlick at 627-8611.
