HARBOR GROUP INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES
SANCTUARY CENTRE IN BOCA RATON
Harbor
Group International (HGI) of Norfolk, Virginia has acquired
the 5-Building, 185,000 square foot Sanctuary Centre Office
Park in Boca Raton, Florida. HGI purchased the property
from Crocker Realty Trust at a purchase price of $23,000,000.
While the name of the property will not change, Sanctuary
Centre will be branded a “Synergy Business Park,” joining
the ranks of Harbor Group International’s other Synergy
Business Parks in Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, and South
Carolina.
Harbor Group International’s fast-growing Synergy
brand brings tenants of Synergy Business Parks a comprehensive
group of value-added amenities, some of which include a
dedicated web page for each park at www.synergyproperty.com
tenants can use to benefit many aspects of their own business,
access to broadband internet providers and networking opportunities
with a local “Synergy Advisory Board,” a group
of local business leaders accessed through the web page.
“Sanctuary Centre is a perfect fit for our Synergy
brand,” said Jordan E. Slone, Harbor Group International
Chairman and CEO, “we have had a great deal of success
with Synergy at our other business parks, and this piece
of prime real estate will be no exception.”
Built in 1986, Sanctuary Centre is 91% occupied by a diversified
pool of 50 tenants.
Sanctuary Centre consists of four three-story buildings
and one single-story building situated over a single-level
parking structure, located on the eastern edge of Boca
Raton. Boca Raton was recently ranked one of the “Best
Cities for Small Business,” by Dun & Bradstreet/Entrepreneur
Magazine in its sixth annual ranking of cities.
Sanctuary Centre joins 1.9 million square feet in four
separate suburban office parks owned by Harbor Group International.
The parks have a total of approximately 800 tenants. Sanctuary
Centre continues Harbor Group International’s aggressive
acquisition strategy of the past few years. HGI has acquired
such trophy properties as the SunTrust Center, and First
Virginia Tower in Norfolk, Virginia, Bank One Tower in
Lexington, Kentucky, SunTrust Bank Building in Nashville,
Tennessee; as well as former Koger Center office parks
in Nashville, Tennessee, Columbia, South Carolina, Norfolk,
Virginia and El Paso, Texas.
Harbor Group International’s acquisition of Sanctuary
Centre comes on the heels of their acquisition of National
City Center, a 640,000 square foot office tower in Indianapolis,
Indiana.

$700 million worth of properties in 15 states in the United
States as well as three different countries.
