HARBOR GROUP INTERNATIONAL SELLS PNC CENTER
IN CINCINNATI
Harbor Group International (HGI) of Norfolk, Virginia
has sold the 27-story, 497,394 square foot PNC Center
in Cincinnati, Ohio for an undisclosed price.
“We are pleased with the performance of PNC Center
and we were able to execute our exit strategy perfectly,”
said Sid Bridge, Spokesman for Harbor Group International.
“The Property was a perfect fit for our portfolio
and we will continue to acquire others like it.”
HGI acquired the property in February of 2002 for $52.3
million.
Built in 1980, the property was 89% occupied at the
time of sale. PNC Bank occupies more than 45% of the
building with more than ten years remaining on their
lease. Other prominent tenants include Frost Brown Todd,
the 75th largest law firm in the country; Robert Half
International, the world’s largest executive recruitment
and staffing service; KPMG, one of the country’s
largest accounting firms; and CB Richard Ellis.
Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the world-renowned architecture
firm who designed the Sears Tower, designed PNC Center.
It features an Italian travertine marble exterior and
carefully manicured landscaping. It is located at the
corner of Fifth and Main streets in the center of downtown
Cincinnati across the street from the world headquarters
of Procter & Gamble.
Harbor Group International has been an aggressive acquirer
of investment property since its creation in 1985. HGI’s
other prominent central business district office properties
include Dominion Tower in Norfolk, Virginia, BP Tower
in Cleveland, Ohio, State House Square in Hartford,
Connecticut and One Enterprise Center in Jacksonville,
Florida.
