Harbor Group International benefits program reflects our genuine concern for our employees and their families, as well as our commitment to provide a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.  Members of the Harbor Group team enjoy the following benefits:

Group Health Insurance – This program is provided through Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s nationwide network of Healthcare providers and offers open access to physicians and related services on both an in and out of network basis.  In network services require a small co-payment; out of network services have reasonable deductibles and out of pocket maximums.  We pay the cost of coverage for our employees.  You can make a contribution via pre-tax payroll deduction for family coverage. 

Dental Insurance – Delta Dental provides access to a national dental provider network or you may use the dentist of your choice.  You have a choice of two plans.  Employee contributions are required for participation. 

Term Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance – We provide you with basic term life insurance and AD&D coverage at no cost to you.

Voluntary Term Life Insurance – You may purchase additional term life insurance for yourself, your spouse, or your children through our payroll deduction program. 

Voluntary Short Term Disability – Basic Short-term disability coverage is providing fro a nominal employee contribution. 

Long Term Disability – After 6 months of disability because of an accident or illness, this coverage replaces up to 50% of your salary if disability continues.  This protection is provided without cost to employees. 

Flexible Spending Plan – You can set aside pre-tax dollars to fund projected expenses for un-reimbursed healthcare expenses or dependent daycare expenses on an annual use it or loose it basis. 

401k Savings Plan – You can participate in a pre-tax savings program via payroll deferral into a wide array of mutual funds offered by ING Financial Services and other premier mutual fund providers.  The company matches 25 cents on every dollar you set aside in your plan, up to a maximum of 2% of your pay.  You are always vested in your contributions and you vest in the employer matching contributions over a 6 year period.  It is a very cost effective way to plan for your future financial security. 

ESOP – As a private company, we can offer a very unique program – an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.  You begin participation in the plan on the 1st of August following one year of employment.  You become vested in the plan after completing 5 years of continuous service.  There are no contributions necessary; Harbor Group pays the full cost of this program.  Please see the Plan Document for more details. 


Referral Program

From time to time, our employees and our friends in the industry provide us with referrals. It may be a family member, a friend, a co-worker, or an acquaintance through a professional, fraternal, or civic organization. We find that candidates coming to us through an employee referral usually are well suited for the position and have someone in place to help them through the adjustment period associated with starting a new job. We also pay a bonus to employees referring a candidate to us.
